Dear Members, Friends and GuestsFirst of all, thank you to those who attended the Whisky tasting on Friday, 16th October at Kinara Restaurant in Kemang. The event was a resounding success with 92 people attending. The old hands tell me that it was the largest attendance ever at a JSAS Whisky Tasting, and the ambience certainly seemed to indicate that people enjoyed themselves.Given the popularity of the evening, the society is set to hold another Whisky Tasting event on Friday, 16th November 2018. The location for this whisky evening is AW Kitchen at Plaza Senayan.This soirée is set to pull out the stops and will feature a special selection of 8 single malt whisky’s including two 25 year olds, and a 27 year old. The 27 year old being a very limited edition has become a personal favourite of mine. I also would highlight the fact that AW Kitchen is an excellent restaurant, and as such, the special set menu offered to support our whisky tasting will more than complement the rare whisky selection. I would like to take this opportunity to both thank all those who purchased tickets and apologize to all those who have been unable to acquire tickets.I am pleased to announce that tickets for the Centenary Burns Supper will go on sale during November.
